This was taken at the Okinawa zoo.

Get in the car kids…

…it’s time to go to the damn park.

Time to call social services?

I found this glass in a trashcan at one of the castles in Okinawa. Whoever threw it away clearly had no idea what a treasure they had. I submitted this photo to http://www.engrish.com. I think they made a mousepad out of it.

Hmmm…

Before a shower, before bed, before sex…I’m always in a quandary…

(This sign was on the top deck of a ferry going from Okinawa, Japan to one of the outer islands. Your guess is as good as mine. No nude sunbathing, perhaps?)

Brain Coral

Image

Okinawa, Japan is basically a coral island. One type of coral that fascinates me the most is brain coral, so called because its surface resembles the sulci and gyri of a brain. They can also take on different shapes and colors. Sometimes it has these little star-like formations, like in the photo above. You can also view this image, and a few more new additions, in my metamorphosis/abstracts album.
